David Moyer is an artist working in the mediums of Drawing and Wood Engraving exploring the expressive qualities of line and form. David is inspired particularly by Northern Renaissance wood block prints of Albrecht Dürer, Lucas Cranach and Michael Wolgemut. Through a blend of creativity and technical skill, David creates pieces that resonate with both historical charm and contemporary creativity. His work celebrates the tactile beauty of letterpress printing and the timeless elegance of handmade books.

Prussia’s Glory is a series of speculative ink drawings plumbing the tumultuous depths of an aged Franco-Prussian War veteran. The title is based on a short story by the German writer Wolfgang Borchert and the Prussian anthem.
